Have you checked your WordPress site lately? Notice an unusually high number of update notifications?
If you are not an active member in the WordPress community then you may have missed some very big news this week, but WordPress and Sucuri discovered a security vulnerability that is present in a huge amount of plugins, including some of the most popular ones.
It’s scary news because it means that so many sites were at risk, but the community responded very quickly with a vast number of updates to address this issue. This is just another reminder…
If you own a WordPress site, you HAVE to keep it up to date.

So, if you noticed those update notifications coming up more frequently lately, now you know why.
I guess this is a good time to mention Website Care Plans. It’s a great way to keep your site up to date, backed up, and constantly checked in on so you don’t have to lift a finger and you know that your site is good.
